Said Ez Zahar, a 33-year-old Moroccan, has been living in Norcia with his family for years and knows the devastation of earthquakes firsthand. He was the first to flee his home after the recent earthquake in Casablanca. Although Norcia was not affected, entire villages have been destroyed, similar to what happened in Amatrice in 2016. Zahar, his wife, mother, and two children quickly fled their home as soon as they felt the tremors. They spent the night in their car and are still fearful. Zahar appeals for help and solidarity for his devastated country.
